Art & Stewardship
I curated this immersive outdoor workshop to evoke deep reflections on our connection with nature. We wove acts of stewardship seamlessly into our multifaceted art-making session. Inspired by a 200-year-old technique of camera-less photography, participants crafted cyanotype prints—an artistic expression born from their sensory experiences in nature.
Guided through the traditional UV exposure process, we explored chosen subjects and their personal significance. Trust-building activities and community engagement were integral to the session, alongside education about environmental preservation and actionable steps to minimize our impact on the natural world.
The workshop below was held in West Vancouver, BC, supported via the Ferry Building Gallery & Harmony Arts Festival in August 2023.
