This series was inspired by the modern day Geisha (geiko and maiko) of Japan.
The bold patterns and colours explore varying perspectives and abstractions of the traditional Japanese culture of entertaining.
The artist captured subjects within the historical district of Gion Hanamachi in Spring 2017.
