ÉVEIL

In French, “Éveil” translates to awakening—a transformation of consciousness that ignites a desire for change.

Inspired by my involvement in environmental conservation, the Éveil Collection is a photographic series with a profound intent: to connect viewers with their innate kinship for the natural world. The compositions within Éveil present a unique allegory—an internal rhythm that embodies our relationship with the beauty found in nature, contrasted with the realization of human consumption and its impact on the planet.
The human figure assumes prominence, isolated by layering contours with images of both natural elements and urban environments.
Figurative poses inject an element of performance into each composition. Guided by my instructions, the model physically expresses my emotional reactions to both exhausted environments and the renewal found within natural sanctuaries. Each composition invites contemplation, confronting the dichotomy of progress versus preservation. We recognize the delicate equilibrium that hangs in the balance—the urgent need to protect our planet while navigating societal advancements.
This series represents an early chapter in my artistic journey. It marks a pivotal juncture when I shifted from traditional photography to vulnerability-infused expressions driven by environmental concerns. Éveil became not just art but also my voice—a revelation echoing the urgency of our shared responsibility.
